📋 Understanding the Jobs Dashboard in Client Hub
Last Updated: July 2026
The Jobs Dashboard is the perfect place for your team to organize, monitor, and execute client work in one centralized view. Whether you prefer a visual layout or a detailed spreadsheet-style view, Client Hub makes it easy to manage your daily workload.
🖼️ Two Dashboard Views: Card View & List View
You can switch between Card View and List View using the icons at the top right of the dashboard.
📇 Card View (Kanban Style)
In Card View, jobs are displayed in columns based on their status. Statuses fall into four categories — Not Started, Active, Paused, and Complete — and firms can rename statuses, add their own Active and Paused statuses, and set colors to match their workflow. See ⚙️ Setting Up Custom Job Statuses in Client Hub for how to configure these.
Key features:
- Click on a job card to open it and view or complete tasks.
- Click any task inside a job to view details, instructions, and comments.
- Red due dates highlight overdue jobs.
- Drag-and-drop cards to update job status (e.g., move a card from one status column to another).
📌 If a job has multiple task groups, its status can also advance automatically as groups are completed — including a check for any Client Tasks still in Draft before the status moves forward. See 🔄 How Job Status Changes Automatically (and How Draft Client Tasks Affect It) for the full behavior.
📋 List View (Table Format)
The List View gives you a sortable, searchable, and exportable table of all jobs.
You can:
- Sort jobs by client, due date, status, or assignee
- View task progress (internal and client tasks)
- Add or manage tags for filtering
- Click on any job to open and view details
- Export job data to PDF or Excel using the Export button
Bonus: Use the Actions dropdown to apply bulk actions such as:
- Change job owner
- Update status
- Add or remove job tags
🔍 Powerful Filters for Custom Views
At the top of both views, you'll find several filter options to help narrow your focus:
- User – View jobs assigned to yourself or others on your team
- Client – Filter by individual clients
- Client Tag – Show jobs linked to clients with specific tags
- Job Tag – Show jobs grouped by services or job types (e.g., "Payroll", "Monthly Review")
🧠 Tips for Success
- Use tags to group jobs by service type, frequency, or internal team.
- Set up your firm's Active and Paused statuses to reflect real workflow stages so Card View stays meaningful at a glance.
- Use List View + Export for reporting, check-ins, or internal reviews.
