File Upload Guidelines: Size Limit and Supported File Types

When uploading files to Client Hub, it’s important to know the limits and supported file types to ensure a smooth experience for both your team and your clients.

📁 Maximum File Size

  • 150 MB per file

Each file you upload must be 150 megabytes or smaller. If you need to share something larger, we recommend compressing the file or using a cloud storage link (e.g., Google Drive or Dropbox).

📦 No Storage Limits

While there’s a limit on the size of individual files, there’s no limit to the total amount of storage available to your firm. You can upload as many files as you need to support your workflows and serve your clients.

✅ Supported File Types

We support commonly used file types across key platforms, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and QuickBooks. Below is the full list:

Microsoft Office:

  • Word: .doc , .docx
  • Excel: .xls , .xlsx
  • PowerPoint: .ppt , .pptx

Adobe:

  • PDF: .pdf

QuickBooks:

  • Backup files: .QBB , .QBM
  • Bank data files: .QBO

If you try to upload a file type that’s not on this list or one that exceeds the 150 MB limit, you’ll see an error message. In that case, consider converting the file to a supported format or reducing the file size.
