๐Ÿ“‚How to Upload Files to the File Manager in Client Hub

The File Manager in Client Hub allows you to securely upload, store, and organize documents for your clients. Files can be uploaded directly from your computer using your browser or through the Client Hub Uploader App.

Uploading files ensures your team and your clients can easily access important documents in one centralized location.


๐Ÿ“ค Upload Files from Your Browser

The most common way to upload documents is directly through the File Manager in your browser.

Steps to upload files:

  1. Navigate to the client where you want to upload the document.
  2. Click the File Manager tab.
  3. Open the folder where the file should be stored (or create a new folder if needed).
  4. Click Upload Files.
  5. Select the file(s) from your computer.
  6. Click Open to begin the upload.

Once uploaded, the files will appear in the selected folder and will be immediately available within the clientโ€™s File Manager.


๐Ÿ–ฑ Drag and Drop Files

You can also upload documents using drag and drop.

Steps:

  1. Open the File Manager for the client.
  2. Navigate to the folder where the file should be uploaded.
  3. Drag the file from your computer and drop it into the File Manager window.

The upload will start automatically once the file is dropped into the folder.


๐Ÿ“ Create a Folder Before Uploading (Optional)

To keep documents organized, you may want to create folders before uploading files.

Steps to create a folder:

  1. Open the File Manager for the client.
  2. Click New Folder.
  3. Enter the folder name.
  4. Click Create.

You can then upload files directly into that folder.


๐Ÿ’ป Upload Files Using the Client Hub Uploader App


If you frequently upload files from your desktop, you can also use the Client Hub Uploader App. This desktop application allows you to upload files directly to Client Hub without opening your browser.

The uploader is especially helpful for:

  • Uploading scanned documents
  • Sending multiple files quickly
  • Uploading files stored locally on your computer

Or from inside Client Hub:

  1. Click the Help (?) icon in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the Customer Success Center.
  3. In the Actions section, click Uploader App for Mac/Windows.

From there, you can download the version for Windows or macOS and begin uploading files directly from your desktop.

To keep your File Manager organized:

  • Use clear folder names for different document types.
  • Upload files to the correct client folder.
  • Create folders for yearly documents, tax returns, or financial statements.
