🧾 How to Create a Client Task

Client Tasks are a simple and effective way to request information, send reminders, or keep your clients on track—so you can get your work done faster and with fewer follow-ups.

When writing a Client Task, make your message short, specific, and focused on the type of response you’re looking for.

🛠 Steps to Create a Client Task

1. Go to the Client Workspace

From the left-hand menu, click Clients & Workspaces, then select the client workspace you want to work in.

2. Go to the Client Tasks panel

Inside the selected workspace, you’ll find the Client Tasks section in the left-hand column.

3. Click New Client Task

Scroll to the bottom of the center panel and click the New Client Task button.

4. Write your message

In the New Client Task window, enter a clear and concise message in the text box. Make sure your request matches the kind of response you're expecting.

5. [Optional] Attach files

If needed, click Select Files or drag and drop documents to include with your task.

6. Choose a task type

Select the request type that fits your need—such as To Do, Yes/No, File Request, Open Text, or Accept/Decline.

7. [Optional] Choose a destination folder

If you’re requesting a file, you can specify the folder where the uploaded file should be saved.

8. [Optional] Enable Auto Remind

You can choose to automatically remind your client after a certain number of days.

If you do, the task card will display a due date so it’s clear when the daily reminders will start.

9. Preview your request

A preview will appear in the right-hand column so you can double-check your message.

10. Send it

Click Send and Notify to deliver the task and notify the client.

✅ That’s it! Your Client Task is now live and ready for your client to respond.
