📤 Client Hub Uploader App (Mac & Windows)

The Client Hub Uploader App allows you to upload files directly from your desktop to Client Hub without opening your browser. This is especially useful when you're working with documents stored locally, printing files from another program, or scanning documents that need to be uploaded quickly.

With the desktop uploader, you can send files to any workspace — and the correct folder — in just a few clicks.

🚀 Access the Uploader App Download

You can download the Uploader App directly from your Client Hub account or access it here: Uploader App

Steps to access the download page:

Click the Help (?) icon in the left sidebar.
This opens the Customer Success Center.
In the Actions section, click Uploader App for Mac/Windows.

This will open the download page where you can install the app for your device.

💻 Download the Uploader App

Once the download page opens, choose the version that matches your operating system.

Available options include:

Download for Windows
Download for Mac (Apple Silicon)
Download for Mac (Intel)

Click the appropriate button and the installer will begin downloading.

⚠️ Windows users: You may see a warning that the app is "unsuspicious" or unrecognized when installing. This is expected — click through to allow the install. This is a one-time step per install.

⚙️ Install the Uploader App

After downloading the installer:

Windows

Open the downloaded .exe file.
Follow the installation prompts (allowing the app past the warning noted above, if it appears).
Launch the Client Hub Uploader once installation is complete.

Mac

Open the downloaded .dmg file.
Drag the Client Hub Uploader into your Applications folder.
Launch the application.

The app checks for updates automatically, so you'll always be prompted to install the latest version when one is released.

When you open the app for the first time:

Sign in using your Client Hub login credentials.
A Forgot Password link is available on the sign-in screen if needed.
If your firm requires two-factor authentication (2FA), you'll be prompted for it during this initial sign-in. If 2FA isn't required for your account, you'll skip straight through.

Make sure you're logged in under your own profile before uploading.

📂 Two Ways to Upload Files

Option 1: Print or Save Directly to the Uploader Folder

This is the fastest method if you're working from another program (e.g., printing a tax form, a QuickBooks report, or any document you can "Print" or "Save As").

From any application, choose Print or Save As.
Select Documents → Client Hub Uploader as the save location.
Keep the file's title (or rename it) and save.
The Client Hub Uploader will automatically open with the file loaded and ready to upload.

Option 2: Open the App and Select Files Manually

Open the Client Hub Uploader app.
Click to select files, or drag and drop files directly into the uploader window.

💡 Pro Tip: Drag and drop works from either method — you can drop additional files into the queue before uploading.

📤 Complete the Upload

Once your file(s) are loaded into the uploader (from either method above):

Edit the file title if needed.
Add any additional files to the upload.
Select the Workspace you want to upload to.
Choose the destination folder:
- Client Shared Folder (visible to the client), or
- An existing internal folder (e.g., a year-based folder), or
- Create a new folder on the spot.
Click Upload and confirm.

Once the upload completes, the uploader window closes automatically. Your file will appear in File Manager under the workspace and folder you selected.

⚠️ Note: You'll choose the workspace and destination folder each time you upload — the app does not lock in a single workspace for all future uploads.

💡 When to Use the Uploader App

The Uploader App is especially useful for:

Printing or saving documents from another program (like a signed 8879 or a QuickBooks report) straight into a client's File Manager
Uploading scanned documents
Sending multiple files quickly without navigating the browser
Uploading files stored locally on your computer
