πŸ“‚ Using Files on the Client Hub Mobile App

The Files tab in the Client Hub mobile app gives you access to all documents shared with your clients. You can browse folders, view recent files, and upload or download documentsβ€”all from your phone.

πŸ“ Navigating the Files Tab

Go to the Files tab at the top of the screen.

From here, you’ll see multiple ways your files are organized:

  • Folders β€” Shared file structures for organizing client documents
  • Buckets β€” Files grouped by how they were added or used
  • Recent Files β€” A quick view of your most recent documents

πŸ—‚ Viewing Folders

Folders help organize documents for easy access.

You may see folders like:

  • Client Shared Folder
  • Internal Folders

Tap a folder to open it and view the files inside.

πŸͺ£ Understanding Buckets

Buckets automatically group files based on how they were added.

Common buckets include:

  • Easy Upload β€” Files uploaded using the Easy Upload option
  • Messages Files β€” Files shared in conversations
  • Client Tasks Files β€” Files submitted through tasks
  • eSignature Docs β€” Documents related to signature requests (view-only on mobile)

Buckets help organize files by activity, but they do not control where files are stored in the File Manager.

❓ Why are files not going where I expected?

Files in Client Hub are routed based on how and where they are uploaded.

For example:

  • Uploading through Easy Upload typically places files in the Easy Upload bucket
  • Uploading through a Client Task or message will place files in those respective buckets
  • Files may also appear in shared folders depending on how they are accessed or organized

⚠️ Important:

Client Hub does not currently provide settings to control or restrict where files are uploaded.

The only client permission available is whether clients can create folders. There are no settings to:

  • force uploads into a specific bucket
  • prevent uploads to shared folders
  • control file destination behavior

If files are appearing in a different location than expected, review how the file was uploaded or added within the app.

πŸ“„ Viewing and Downloading Files

Tap any file to open it on your device.

From there, you can:

  • View the document
  • Download it to your phone
  • Print it if your device is connected to a printer

πŸ“€ Uploading Files

You can upload files from other areas of the app, such as:

  • Client Tasks
  • Messages
  • Easy Upload (if enabled)

Uploaded files will automatically appear based on how and where they were added in the app.

πŸ•˜ Recent Files

The Recent Files section shows your most recently accessed or shared documents.

This makes it easy to quickly find files without browsing folders.
