🔐 Understanding Login Session Limits in Client Hub

Last Updated: June 2026

Client Hub limits each set of login credentials to one active session on the web app and one active session on the mobile app at a time. This article explains how that works, what to expect when a session ends, and what to do if you're unexpectedly logged out.

🖥️ How Sessions Work

You can be signed in on your computer and your phone at the same time without any issue — web and mobile sessions are independent of each other.

However, if you sign in to Client Hub on a second browser or computer while you're already signed in elsewhere, your original session will receive a notification letting you know that another sign-in was detected. That session will close automatically within 60 seconds, giving you a moment to save any work in progress.

The same applies to mobile: signing in on a new device will end your previous mobile session.

🔒 Why This Limit Exists

This limit is in place to protect your firm's client data and to ensure that each active user has their own licensed seat. Sharing login credentials across multiple team members is not permitted under Client Hub's Terms of Service and puts your firm's data at risk.

If multiple people on your team need access to Client Hub, each person should have their own account. To add users to your firm's account, go to Manage Practice and add them from there.

⚠️ What to Do If You're Unexpectedly Logged Out

If you received a session notification and were logged out, it may mean:

  • Someone else signed in using your credentials
  • You were signed in on another browser or device you forgot about

If this is happening repeatedly and you believe your credentials may have been compromised, change your password immediately from your account settings.
