💳 Understanding the eSignature Credits Wallet in Client Hub
Last Updated: August 2026
Sending an eSignature request now has a cost attached. Moving to Zoho Sign brought eSignatures fully into Client Hub — each request now creates a Client Task, appears in the Client Hub app, and keeps your client from having to dig through email to find it. That added integration comes with a cost from our signing providers, including an extra fee for Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) verification. The Credits Wallet is how your firm pre-purchases credits to cover these costs.
💵 How Credits Work
Credits are purchased in $25 packs, which grant 25 credits. A Standard signature request costs 1 credit. A request with Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) costs 2.5 credits.
Credits are only charged when a request is sent, not when it's saved as a draft.
⚠️ Warning: Because drafts aren't charged, it's possible to create more drafts than your current balance can cover. If you send a draft that was created while you had enough credits, but your balance has since dropped, your firm's balance can go negative. Keep an eye on your balance before sending, especially with several drafts waiting.
🔔 If Your Balance Is Low
When creating a request, you're shown your current balance up front:
If your balance can't cover a Standard Request, Subscribers and Admins see options right there to view Transaction History or purchase more credits.
Staff members instead see a message letting them know they don't have enough credits and to contact their admin.
📊 Checking Your Balance and Transaction History
Subscriber and Admin users can also check their balance at any time from Manage Practice.
- Go to Manage Practice.
- Locate your current credit balance.
- Click Transaction History to see recent purchases and usage, including which document and team member each charge is tied to.
- Click Purchase More Credits if your balance is running low.
