πŸ’¬ Using Messages on the Client Hub Mobile App

The Messages tab in the Client Hub mobile app makes it easy to communicate with your clients. Messages appear in a continuous conversation, so you can easily follow discussions without searching through emails.

πŸ“₯ Viewing Messages

  • Go to the Messages tab at the top of the screen
  • All communication with your clients appears in a single conversation view
  • Newest messages appear at the bottom, so the latest updates are always in view

πŸ“ Sending a Message

  • Type your message in the text box at the bottom of the screen
  • Tap Send to deliver your message
  • Your client will see it instantly in Client Hub

πŸ” Replying to a Message

  • Tap Reply on a specific message to respond directly
  • The original message will be copied into your reply for context
  • Your reply will then appear in the conversation

πŸ“Ž Sharing Files in Messages

  • Tap the paperclip icon to attach a file to your message

A Select a source menu will appear with these options:

  • From Camera β€” take a new photo
  • From Gallery β€” select a photo already saved on your device
  • From Files β€” choose a document from your phone’s storage
  • Scan Documents β€” use your camera to scan and upload a document
  • Cancel β€” close the menu without uploading

The file will appear in the conversation so your client can access it right away.

πŸ‘† Message Actions and Reactions

You can interact with messages using gestures, similar to the web experience.

  • Long press a message to open message actions
  • Tap and hold on a reaction to view all reactions in a modal

Tap a reaction:

  • If it’s your reaction, it will be removed
  • If it’s someone else’s reaction, you’ll add the same reaction

πŸ‘οΈ Read Receipts

Client Hub allows you to see when your message has been viewed by a Client User or team member.

Read receipts (also referred to as Seen by or Viewed by) are accessed directly from your message.

To view read receipts:

  • Swipe your own message to the left
  • A modal will appear showing who has seen your message and when it was viewed

πŸ’‘ Read receipts indicate that a message has been viewed. They do not indicate that a reply has been sent.

πŸ”” Messages vs Notifications

Messages and notifications serve different purposes:

  • Messages are the actual conversation between you and your client
  • Notifications alert you when new activity occurs

On mobile:

  • New messages appear instantly in the conversation
  • If notifications are enabled on your device, you’ll receive a push notification when a client sends a message

✨ Summary

For the best experience:

  • Use Messages to communicate with clients in real time
  • Use Read Receipts to confirm when messages have been viewed
  • Use attachments to share files directly within the conversation
  • Use reactions and message actions to interact quickly

Using Messages on the mobile app helps you stay connected and responsive while managing client communication on the go.
