π¬ Using Messages on the Client Hub Mobile App
The Messages tab in the Client Hub mobile app makes it easy to communicate with your clients. Messages appear in a continuous conversation, so you can easily follow discussions without searching through emails.
π₯ Viewing Messages
- Go to the Messages tab at the top of the screen
- All communication with your clients appears in a single conversation view
- Newest messages appear at the bottom, so the latest updates are always in view
π Sending a Message
- Type your message in the text box at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Send to deliver your message
- Your client will see it instantly in Client Hub
π Replying to a Message
- Tap Reply on a specific message to respond directly
- The original message will be copied into your reply for context
- Your reply will then appear in the conversation
π Sharing Files in Messages
- Tap the paperclip icon to attach a file to your message
A Select a source menu will appear with these options:
- From Camera β take a new photo
- From Gallery β select a photo already saved on your device
- From Files β choose a document from your phoneβs storage
- Scan Documents β use your camera to scan and upload a document
- Cancel β close the menu without uploading
The file will appear in the conversation so your client can access it right away.
π Message Actions and Reactions
You can interact with messages using gestures, similar to the web experience.
- Long press a message to open message actions
- Tap and hold on a reaction to view all reactions in a modal
Tap a reaction:
- If itβs your reaction, it will be removed
- If itβs someone elseβs reaction, youβll add the same reaction
ποΈ Read Receipts
Client Hub allows you to see when your message has been viewed by a Client User or team member.
Read receipts (also referred to as Seen by or Viewed by) are accessed directly from your message.
To view read receipts:
- Swipe your own message to the left
- A modal will appear showing who has seen your message and when it was viewed
π‘ Read receipts indicate that a message has been viewed. They do not indicate that a reply has been sent.
π Messages vs Notifications
Messages and notifications serve different purposes:
- Messages are the actual conversation between you and your client
- Notifications alert you when new activity occurs
On mobile:
- New messages appear instantly in the conversation
- If notifications are enabled on your device, youβll receive a push notification when a client sends a message
